This position will be about 15-20 hours a week.
Summary:
The Accounting Associate will assist the accounting team with duties related to month-end close and other various projects. This position will provide a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced-growing industry.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with accounting functions as assigned including but not limited to booking journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reporting on results
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial statement packages for management
• Support accounting team with data entry related to special projects as assigned
• Cooperatively work with other functional departments as needed

Qualifications:
Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergraduate degree program in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 at current educational institution
Minimum Qualifications:
• An analytical and curious mind, comfortable with numbers and problem solving
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Intermediate Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint)
• Organized and detailed oriented individual
• Self-starter with initiative to work independently
• Strong commitment to excellence and professional growth
• Demonstrate ability to take ownership and responsibility of work deliverables
• Strong communication skills with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborative working style
Working Conditions:
• Operations are within a professional office environment
• Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
